PgServerTool is server-management software that runs on the server of the person or organization operating it (the “operator”). It is not a hosted service: JCArtes does not run a central PgServerTool server and does not receive any data from the copies people install.
Google user data
When an operator chooses Connect Google, PgServerTool asks Google for read-only access to that account’s Google Search Console data (scope webmasters.readonly) and for the account’s email address, which is shown so the operator can see which account is connected.
- PgServerTool uses this access only to download search performance data (searches, clicks, impressions, positions, pages, countries and devices) for the operator’s own websites and to show it in the operator’s PgServerTool reports.
- The data and the Google sign-in token are stored only in the PostgreSQL database on the operator’s own server.
- The data is never sold, never shared with anyone else, never used for advertising, and never sent to JCArtes or any third party.
- PgServerTool cannot change anything in Search Console or in the Google account.
PgServerTool’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access and data
The operator can end access at any time with Disconnect in PgServerTool, which also revokes the token at Google, or from Google Account → Third-party connections. Stored data can be deleted by the operator from their own database at any time.
Website visitor statistics
PgServerTool’s visitor reports are built from the web server’s own access logs. They use no cookies, and visitors are counted with a code that changes every day, so no one can be followed from one day to the next.
